Kaoruko serves as Director of the Fund Management Team and brings more than 15 years’ experience to her role at MUIP. Prior to joining MUIP, Kaoruko was Vice President at Japan Industrial Partners, a Japan-based Private Equity firm, where she was responsible for the financial reporting of the firm’s investment funds, investor relations, as well as audit and regulatory compliance. Prior to Japan Industrial Partners, she spent over a decade in Silicon Valley earning experience in the venture capital industry. Kaoruko was a Sr. Fund Accounting Manager at DCM Ventures, a prominent Venture Capital firm based in Silicon Valley. Prior to DCM Ventures, she worked in Transaction Services at KPMG.
Kaoruko is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She received her B.A. from Japan Women’s University and earned an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Santa Clara University.
